Women’s Forum for Women in Nepal has been working for a long time to ensure the labor rights and human rights of workers in the entertainment sector. Looking at the history of the organization, it has been conducting various cultural programs and raising issues related to the entertainment and hospitality sector. The organization has been running various programs through cultural means to change the negative perspectives towards the entertainment sector. Similarly, the organization has been advocating for the assurance of labor and human rights at both national and international levels.
In this context, this cultural group has been actively coming forward in program such as 16 days activism, National, Internatioanl Forums such as World Social Forum. The event had the presence of more than 50,000 people from various parts of the world and over 100 social organizations. Therefore, this event through a cultural program raised awareness about the problems faced by workers in Nepal.
Through the initiation of Cultural Group, WOFOWON also runs YouTube channel where members of cultural group sing live dohori in various issues such as labour, health, gender, patriarchy, trafficking, cyber safety, mental health and other societal issues.
